Rooted in Raw is a private and freelance chef services company proudly serving the San Diego community and beyond. Founded in 2019 in Encinitas, California, we specialize in crafting whole plant-based meals, with a focus on raw and vegan cuisine. We take pride in creating meals that are organic, plant-rich, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free.

We operate two successful local food services in San Diego and also cater to events and wellness retreats.

About the Founder & Chef

Kaitlyn Kinder is a Plant-Based Chef, Certified Nutrition Consultant, 500-Hour Yoga Teacher, and 100-Hour Meditation Teacher. Born and raised in San Diego, California, Kaitlyn currently resides in Encinitas, North County San Diego. She is passionate about living a mindful and nourished life, which includes a balanced whole food diet, a dedicated fitness routine, and a consistent meditation practice. When she's not working, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with loved ones, being outdoors, reading, traveling and experiencing new cultures.
